Hey there, I’m Anya!

I am currently based in Southeast Alaska, where I work as a lead naturalist guide and photographer.

I have degrees in Environmental Science and Visual Arts and I am always welcoming opportunities to experience our beautiful planet and educate others about it’s importance. Chasing these passions has landed me all over the world, working in ecotourism, ocean research and conservation, outdoor education, wildlife photography, and more!

Most recently I have found a home in the mountains and waters of Juneau, where I fell in love with the temperate rainforest, Alaskan wildlife and the mystical Pacific. I am in involved with humpback whale research and the non-profit, Juneau Flukes.

The ocean is my second home.

While I care deeply about all nature and wildlife, my heart belongs to everything that lives in the underwater world.

I grew up snorkeling in the beautiful waters of the U.S. Virgin Islands with my family, and have been on boats all my life. More recently I have spent my winters among the vibrant coral reefs of Cozumel, Mexico where I completed my PADI Divemaster. I am eager to continue pursuing a career in marine conservation.

My goal is to raise environmental awareness through my work and art.

In a world where a significant portion of humanity has become so far removed from the natural world, I strive to help people reconnect with and care for the earth.

My intention is to create experiences for clients that encourage them to appreciate our planet, which can cultivate personal connections and the realization that their relationship to the environment is integral to our survival. Through education and connection, we can create a better planet for all of us!
